The lower trail proceeds east from the parking lot through the forest and downhill to the waterfall (total length 0.3 mile one-way). This trail was recently renovated, and is now suitable for visitors of any physical condition. Along this trail you will find most of the wildflowers, starting with Pacific Bleeding Hearts (Dicentra formosa), Fairy Bells (Disporum smithii), Scouler's Corydalis (Corydalis scouleri), Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum), Candy Flower (Claytonia sibirica), Fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), and more.
The park includes restrooms and picnic areas. There is no day-use fee.
