Description

Located in southwest Portland, Tryon Creek is Oregon's only state park within a major metropolitan area. Comprising 64 acres, Tryon Creek State Park is a wonderful place to hike, stroll, jog, or bike. Trails include a 3-mile paved bike trail, the fully accessible 0.35 mile Trillium Trail, and numerous hiking trails of varying lengths.

Tryon Creek is also home to a spectacular trillium display early each spring, as well as an annual Trillium Festival.

The non-profit group Friends of Tryon Creek State Park operates a nature store, summer youth day camps, school tours, guided nature walks and special events.

There is no day-use fee at this park.

Directions

Take exit 297 off Interstate 5. If you are driving southbound, stay in the right lane as you exit, which will put you onto Barbur Boulevard. Take an immediate right and cross I-5 on Terwilliger Boulevard. (If you are driving northbound, take a right at the end of the exit ramp onto Terwilliger Boulevard.)

Proceed on Terwilliger Boulevard for 2.3 miles to the park entrance, which will be on your right.
