CommentsPaul Freeman reports that the famed balsamroot carpets are still 2-3 weeks from peak bloom. In the meantime, however, a number of other wildflowers are blooming, both in the forest and in the meadows, including starflower, ball-head waterleaf, Dutchman`s breeches, paintbrush, phlox, deerbrush, wild ginger, coralroot, and checker lily.
