| Comments | If you want to see snowball cactus (Pediocactus nigrispinus), there are hundreds/ thousands blooming at Spring Basin. Although these photos are from last weekend, the cacti were not yet at peak... there were MANY buds which had not yet opened. Also blooming were profuse wooly phlox (Phlox hoodii ssp. canescens), many yellow-haired Indian paintbrush (Castilleja xanthotricha), various Milkvetches, rough eyelashweed (Blepharipappus scaber), and more. |
