| Comments | Down in the curves below the Rowen Viewpoint among the oaks saw: a few Lupines in full bloom, a few Balsam root in full bloom, a number of large patches of Glacier Lilies, Prairie Stars individually and some good size groups, yellow Desert Parsley, Columbia Desert Parsley, Rusty Popcorn Flower, Chocolate Lilies, Oregon Grape, several large Serviceberry shrubs starting to bloom, Oaks Toothwart, and a rabbit. On the plateau along the beginning of the trail to Tom McCall Point saw: yellow Desert Parsley, Prairie Stars, Upland Larkspur, Buttercups, and a few expiring yellow bells. Where that trail meets the first bluff saw: a few Grass Widows, Yellow Bells, and Columbia Desert Parsley. In the little garden area right at the Viewpoint saw some Balsam root beginning to bloom. Will post photos at my flickr page over the next few days. |
