CommentsThis is a great year for Bear grass (Xerophyllum tenax), which is everywhere! Other profuse bloomers include: Western bistort (Polygonum bistortoides), Broadleaf lupine (Lupinus latifolius), Tiger lily (Lilium columbianum), Western columbine (Aquilegia formosa), Indian paintbrush (Castilleja miniata), Mountain golden-pea (Thermopsis montana), Cascade aster (Aster ledophyllus), Long-beaked hawkweed (Hieracium longiberbe), and Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum).

Also blooming: Subalpine mariposa lily (Calochortus subalpinus), Woodland penstemon (Nothochelone nemorosa), Nuttall's larkspur (Delphinium nuttallii), Rosy spiraea (Spiraea splendens), Sitka valerian (Valeriana sitchensis), Oregon iris (Iris tenax), Small-flowered paintbrush (Castilleja parviflora), Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus), Spreading phlox (Phlox diffusa), Goat's beard (Aruncus dioicus), Western serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia), and Bunchberry (Cornus unalaschkensis).

Blooming in forested areas at higher elevations: Queen's cup (Clintonia uniflora), Foamflower (Tierella trifoliata), and Avalanche lily (Erythronium montanum).
