| Comments | Took the Top Spur trail then around Bald Mountain for the view and flowers then up the Timberline Trail as far as the snow allowed which was just beyond the last open views then back the backside of Bald Mountain. Identified 32 different flowers. Lots and lots of beautiful avalanche lillies. Some twisted stalk, bunchberry, beargrass, false lilly of the valley, vanillaleaf, anemones, thimbleberry, salal, and rhododendron in the forest. The open face of Bald Mountain needs about a week but the paintbrush, larkspur and chocolate lillies were nice. |
