CommentsThere are abundant quantities of the following: Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana var. platypetala), Western Meadowrue (Thalictrum occidentale), Fairy Lanterns (Prosartes smithii), Fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), Chocolate Lily (Fritillaria affinis), and Candyflower (Claytonia sibirica).

The cliffside trail section is covered with Western Saxifrage (Saxifraga occidentalis), Merten's Saxifrage (Saxifraga mertensiana), Chickweed Monkeyflower (Mimulus alsinoides), Scouler's Valerian (Valeriana scouleri), Cream Stonecrop (Sedum oregonense) (though not yet in bloom) and Few-Flowered Shooting Star (Dodecatheon pulchellum).

On the slopes between the cliffside trail section and Metlako Falls, there is a profusion of Cliff Larkspur (Delphinium menziesii), Common Monkeyflower (Mimulus guttatus), Desert Parsley (Lomatium sp.), Rosy Plectritis (Plectritis congesta), Small-flowered Prairie Star (Lithophragma parviflora), and Gold Star (Crocidium multicaule). Along the spur trail to Lower Punch Bowl Falls there is an enormous amount of Pacific Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa) and Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis).

Also in bloom: Dwarf Oregon-Grape (Berberis nervosa), Hooker's Fairy Bells (Prosartes hookeri), Small-flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), Wood Violet (Viola glabella) in forested areas, Nuttall`s toothwort (Cardamine nuttalli var. nuttallii), False Solomon's-Seal (Maianthemum racemosum), Sweet Colt's Foot (Petasites frigidus) near trailhead, Pacific Waterleaf (Hydrophyllum tenuipes), the occasional Fairy Slipper (Calypso bulbosa), and the last of the Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum).
