CommentsThere are still plenty of wildflowers blooming on the cliffs along the Upper McCord Creek trail. Small-Flowered Alumroot (Heuchera micrantha), Bronze Bells (Stenanthium occidentale), and some patches of Cascade Penstemon (Penstemon serrulatus) are blooming near the top of the switchbacks. Blooming on the cliffs: profuse amounts of Broad-leaf Stonecrop (Sedum spathulifolium), endemic Columbia Gorge Fleabane (Erigon oreganus), Martindale`s Desert Parsley (Lomatium martindalei), along with Field Chickweed (Cerastium arvense), Goatsbeard (Aruncus dioicus), Blue Stickseed (Hackelia micrantha), more Bronze Bells, and Small-Flowered Alumroot. White Shooting Star (Dodecatheon dentatum) is finished for the year... I only saw one plant still blooming.
