| Comments | We hiked from the parking area on Salmon Falls Road and walked to the Nancy Russell Memorial Lookout. (The lower trail is closed until July 15th due to the annual peregrine falcon nesting area restriction.) Many wildflowers were blooming including the following: Poison Larkspur (Delphinium trolliifolium) which is blooming profusely virtually every step of the way, fringecup, false lily of the valley, false Solomon Seal, starry Solomon Seal, Pacific waterleaf, red columbine, western baneberry, piggyback plant, vanilla leaf, yellow violet, cliff paintbrush, leafy mitrewort, creeping charlie, bitter cherry, cow parsnip, Hooker`s fairybell, candyflower, bleeding heart, Siberian miner`s lettuce and a small patch of little leaf montia. We also saw a few trillium. |
