Paul Freeman reports that the fantastic annual Tall Larkspur (Delphinium trollifolium) display is about to start. There are thousands in bud, and they should be opening over the next several weeks.
Other wildflowers currently blooming include: Pacific Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa), Mountain Sweet Cicely (Osmorhiza occidentalis), Redwood sorrel (Oxalis oregana), Fairy Lanterns (Prosartes smithii), Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis), Red Elderberry (Sambucus racemosa), Stream Violet (Viola glabella), and Big-leaf Sandwort (Arenaria macrohylla).
