Although the Grass Widows <I>(Olsynium douglasii)</I> are slightly past peak, they are still the dominant flower. Also in bloom: Salt & Pepper <I>(Lomatium piperi)</I>, Western Saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga occidentalis)</I>, Columbia Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium columbianum)</I>, Pungent Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium grayi)</I>, and Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis</I> var. <I>occidentalis)</I>. <P> Blooming above the arch are Grass Widows, the parsleys, Gold Stars <I>(Crocidium multicaule)</I>, Yellow Bells <I>(Fritillaria pudica)</I>, Desert Shooting Stars <I>(Dodecatheon conjugens)</I>, Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary <I>(Collinsia parviflora)</I>, Small-flowered Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma parviflorum)</I>, Rigid Fiddleneck <I>(Amsinckia retrorsa)</I>, Slender Popcorn Flower <I>(Plagiobothrys tenellus)</I>, and False Agoseris <I>(Nothocalais troximoides)</I>. Oaks Toothwort <I>(Cardamine pulcherrima)</I> blooming in the woods above the corral.
