Common Camas <I>(Camassia quamash)</I>, the preserve's flagship wildflower, is starting to bloom everywhere and should be spectacular in another 1-2 weeks! <P> Other species now blooming include: Rosy plectritis <I>(Plectritis congesta)</I>, Oregon fawn lily <I>(Erythronium oregonum)</I>, Large-flowered Blue-eyed Mary <I>(Collinsia grandiflora)</I>, oaks toothwort <I>(Cardamine pulcherrima)</I>, wood violets <I>(Viola glabella)</I>, shining Oregon-grape <I>(Mahonia aquifolium)</I>, and Western saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga occidentalis)</I>. Western buttercups <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis </I>var.<I> occidentalis)</I> are blooming near interpretive sign #5. Western trillium <I>(Trillium ovatum)</I> and Giant White Wakerobin <I>(Trillium albidum)</I> are still in bloom but past their peak.
