We only had time for a short hike, so we went about halfway up the trail, delighted with fields of Grass Widows, lots of desert parsley, little salt and peppers and blue-eyed Mary's, prairie stars, and glacier lilies. And some sweet little pink guys that I don't know what they were, very light color, several very roundish petals, leaf sort of like a lupine leaf.
Looks like balsamroot and lupine are a couple of weeks off--we saw only one that was just starting to think about opening. The hills are just coming into full green. Poison ivy wasn't bad at all.
My son took my camera to school, so no photos, but we had a beautiful 75-degree day, the river was like glass, sky just a little bit hazy but very blue, pretty much like heaven, all in all!
