We hiked along the top edge of the wall up into the woods then looped east through the forest and meadows down through the small canyon with the waterfalls. We identified 54 different wildflowers. Dominant was a variety of veches, parsleys, baby stars, filaree, white groundsel, buttercups and many bicolor cluster lilies as well as small and large lupines. Balsamroot is still out in the upper areas mixed with many lupine and yakima milk-vetch. Upper woods have many great hounds tongue, salsify, agoseris and larkspur. Along the old road at the beginning of the hike there were barretts penstemon on the wall and chickweed monkey. Masses of yellow monkey flower in the drainages and large clumps of bigroot in places.
