Camped at Little Falls trail head in the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest, off 8 Dollar Rd., just outside of Kalmiopsis Wilderness. The highlight was an incredible patch of California pitcher-plant(Darlingtonia californica)located off 8 dollar rd. On the hike to the Illinois River from the campground, I saw: Western azalea(Rhododendron occidentale), Pine violet(Viola lobata), Cat's ear(Calochortus tolmei?), Yellowleaf Iris(Iris chrysophylla), Brodiaea(not sure which species), and Large-flowered blue-eyed Mary(Collinsia grandiflora). Continuing on 8 dollar road towards Babyfoot Lake, I saw: Oregon Bleeding Heart(Dicentra formosa subsp.oregona), Phlox(not sure which species), Hooker's Indian-pink(Silene hookeri), Oregon Fawn Lily(Erythronium oregonum), Lomatium nudicaule, and Serpentine scorpionweed(Phacelia corymbosa). There were many others, but it wasn't always easy to pull over the car to look at them.
