There are abundant quantities of the following: Wild Strawberry <I>(Fragaria virginiana </I>var.<I> platypetala)</I>, Western Meadowrue <I>(Thalictrum occidentale)</I>, Fairy Lanterns <I>(Prosartes smithii)</I>, Fringecup <I>(Tellima grandiflora)</I>, Chocolate Lily <I>(Fritillaria affinis)</I>, and Candyflower <I>(Claytonia sibirica)</I>. <P> The cliffside trail section is covered with Western Saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga occidentalis)</I>, Merten's Saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga mertensiana)</I>, Chickweed Monkeyflower <I>(Mimulus alsinoides)</I>, Scouler's Valerian <I>(Valeriana scouleri)</I>, Cream Stonecrop <I>(Sedum oregonense)</I> (though not yet in bloom) and Few-Flowered Shooting Star <I>(Dodecatheon pulchellum)</I>. <P> On the slopes between the cliffside trail section and Metlako Falls, there is a profusion of Cliff Larkspur <I>(Delphinium menziesii)</I>, Common Monkeyflower <I>(Mimulus guttatus)</I>, Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium sp.)</I>, Rosy Plectritis <I>(Plectritis congesta)</I>, Small-flowered Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma parviflora)</I>, and Gold Star <I>(Crocidium multicaule)</I>. Along the spur trail to Lower Punch Bowl Falls there is an <B>enormous</B> amount of Pacific Bleeding Heart <I>(Dicentra formosa)</I> and Salmonberry <I>(Rubus spectabilis)</I>. <P> Also in bloom: Dwarf Oregon-Grape <I>(Berberis nervosa)</I>, Hooker's Fairy Bells <I>(Prosartes hookeri)</I>, Small-flowered Blue-Eyed Mary <I>(Collinsia parviflora)</I>, Wood Violet <I>(Viola glabella)</I> in forested areas, Nuttall`s toothwort <I>(Cardamine nuttalli </I>var. <I>nuttallii)</I>, False Solomon's-Seal <I>(Maianthemum racemosum)</I>, Sweet Colt's Foot <I>(Petasites frigidus)</I> near trailhead, Pacific Waterleaf <I>(Hydrophyllum tenuipes)</I>, the occasional Fairy Slipper <I>(Calypso bulbosa)</I>, and the last of the Western Trillium <I>(Trillium ovatum)</I>.
