Prime-time for Grass Widows <I>(Olsynium douglasii)</I> as far as the eye can see on both sides of the highway!

Also in bloom: Spring Whitlow-grass <I>(Draba verna)</I>, Salt & Pepper <I>(Lomatium piperi)</I>, and Western Saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga occidentalis)</I>. Pungent Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium grayi)</I> starting to bloom along paved loop.
One sighting of Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis</I> var. <I>occidentalis)</I> starting to bloom next to the trail near the waterfall overlook.

With the exception of the grass widows, there is not yet much to see on the trail leading north toward the old corral. However, there were a number of Gold Stars <I>(Crocidium multicaule)</I> in bloom on the cliffs below the arch.

Lots of Pungent Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium grayi)</I> and Columbia Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium columbianum)</I> starting to bloom on the hillsides along the road between Highway 14 and Catherine Creek parking area.
