There were many varieties blooming in the meadows near the lake, including: Western Coneflower <I>(Rudbeckia occidentalis)</I>, Blue-Eyed Grass <I>(Sisyrinchium idahoense)</I>, Western Bistort <I>(Polygonum bistortoides)</I>, Shooting Star <I>(Dodecatheon sp.)</I>, Bog Orchid <I>(Platanthera dilatata)</I>, Larkspur <I>(Delphinium sp.)</I>, Agoseris sp., Tiger Lily <I>(Lilium columbianum)</I>, Red Columbine <I>(Aquilegia formosa)</I>, Lupine sp., Cat’s Ears <I>(Calochortus sp.)</I>, Fleabane <I>(Erigeron sp.)</I>, and others. <P> In a feeble attempt to document the incredibly profuse beargrass in the higher meadows, I recorded<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pgZiKKmkrE&feature=youtu.be" target="_blank">two</a> <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faygT0K8s48" target="_blank">videos</a>.
