Nicole Calvert reports that the following are blooming on the Elowah Falls and Upper McCord Creek trails: Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum), Fairybells (Disporum hookeri), Merten`s Saxifrage (Saxifraga mertensiana), Candyflower (Claytonia sibirica), Pacific Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa), Coltsfoot (Petasites frigidus), Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis), Red-Flowering Currant (Ribes sanguineum), and Columbia Kittentails (Synthyris missurica ssp. stellata), which are endemic to the Columbia Gorge.
