<B>Now</B> is definitely the time to visit this beautiful place! The primary wildflowers now blooming are: Northwest Balsamroot <I>(Balsamorhiza deltoidea)</I>, Columbia Gorge Lupine <I>(Lupinus latifolius)</I>, Bicolored Cluster Lily (Brodiaea howellii), some huge patches of Bigroot <I>(Marah oreganus)</I>, and Common Monkeyflower <I>(Mimulus guttatus)</I> in moist areas. <P> Others in bloom include: Rigid Fiddleneck <I>(Amsinckia retrorsa)</I>, Pungent Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium grayi)</I>, Small-Flowered Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma parviflorum)</I>, Slender Popcorn Flower <I>(Plagiobothrys tenellus)</I>, some Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis)</I> near the second vernal pond, Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary <I>(Collinsia parviflora)</I>, and some False Agoseris <I>(Nothocalais troximoides)</I> near the trail terminus.
