Wildflowers have started blooming along this trail. In particular, there are hundreds of glacier lilies (Erythronium grandiflorum) blooming between mileposts 3 and 4. However, please note that the trail is <a href='http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2016/03/eagle_creek_trail_will_be_clos.html' target='_blank'>officially closed at milepost 2.0</a> because of winter damage to the Tish Creek bridge, just beyond the Punch Bowl Falls upper viewpoint. <I>(I am not going to suggest fording Tish Creek because I do not want to be held liable for any injuries.)</I>
