Now blooming: Western Serviceberry <I>(Amelanchier alnifolia</I> var. <I>semiintegrifolia</I>), lots of Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis</I>) along the entire trail, lots of Tolmie's Star Tulip <I>(Calochortus tolmiei)</I> and some Spring Gold <I>(Lomatium utriculatum)</I> near the viewing platform, Wild Strawberry <I>(Fragaria virginiana)</I>, patches of Bigroot <I>(Marah oreganus)</I>, and occasional Camas <I>(Camassia quamash)</I>. In the woods you can see plenty of Small-Flowered Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma parviflora)</I>, Miner's Lettuce <I>(Claytonia perfoliata)</I>, and Disappointing Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus uncinatus)</I>. <P> There is a profusion of Kincaid's Lupine <I>(Lupinus sulphureus </I>ssp.<I> kincaidii)</I>, but very little has actually started to bloom yet.
