Blooming near the Rich Guadagno viewpoint is a profusion of Tolmie's Star Tulip <I>(Calochortus tolmiei)</I>, along with intermittent Golden Paintbrush <I>(Castilleja levisecta)</I>.

Also blooming are Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis)</I> and Western Serviceberry <I>(Amelanchier alnifolia </I>var. <I>semiintegrifolia)</I>. I saw many <a href="http://www.fws.gov/oregonfwo/species/data/fendersbluebutterfly/" target="_blank">Fender's Blue Butterflies</a> flitting to and fro, but no Kincaid's Lupine <I>(Lupinus sulphureus)</I> yet in bloom.
