CommentsBlooming along the Paved Loop: Grass Widows (Olsynium douglasii) past peak but still many in bloom along entire loop, Wholeleaf Saxifrage (Micranthes integrifolia), Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) under the trees near the loop junction, Small-flowered Prairie Star (Lithophragma parviflorum) on/near rocky areas, occasional Yellow Bells (Fritillaria pudica), Desert Parsley (Lomatium papilioniferum), several Purple Broomrape (Aphyllon purpureum) shortly after crossing the first bridge, Poet`s Shooting Stars (Dodecatheon poeticum) as the path turns eastward, and Columbia Desert Parsley (Lomatium columbianum).

Also: Meadow Death Camas (Zigadenus venenosus) starting to open. Common Camas (Camassia quamash) about to bloom everywhere along the paved loop. Bitterroot (Lewisia redidiva) rosettes on many of the rocky areas.

Blooming along the Arch Loop: profuse Wholeleaf Saxifrage (Micranthes integrifolia), Grass Widows (Olsynium douglasii) past peak, Yellow Bells (Fritillaria pudica) on both sides of trail descending to creek, False Agoseris (Nothocalais troximoides), Rustyhair Saxifrage (Micranthes rufidula), Gold Stars (Crocidium multicaule) especially on hillside next to trail descending to creek, Small-Flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), Prairie Star (Lithophragma parviflorum) on rocky area, Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) under oaks on both sides of the creek, Desert Parsley (Lomatium papilioniferum), occasional Nine-Leaf Desert Parsley (Lomatium triternatum), Salt-and-pepper (Lomatium piperi), Columbia Desert Parsley (Lomatium columbianum), Bigseed Desert Parsley (Lomatium macrocarpum). Profuse Yellow Bells (Fritillaria pudica) near the T junction of the new trail routing. Copious Chickweed Monkeyflower (Mimulus alsinoides) on hillside as you descend to the new footbridge, along with Rosy Plectritis (Plectritis congesta) and Purple Broomrape (Aphyllon purpureum). Rusty popcorn flower (Plagiobothrys nothofulvus) next to trail just before crossing bridge. Profuse yellow bells on the hillside while climbing up to complete the loop.
