Comments | Virginia Gewin reports that the following are in bloom at Catherine Creek (north of the old highway): Meadow Death-Camas (Toxicoscordion venenosum), Pacific Hound’s Tongue (Adelinia grande), Saxifrage, Yellow Bells (Fritillaria pudica), Rosy Plectritis (Plectritis congesta), Upland Larkspur (Delphinium nuttallii), Columbia Desert Parsley (Lomatium columbianum), Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis), and others.
Profuse Common Camas (Camassia quamash) is about to take over the meadows. |
