Comments | Nice idea to have this website, but as a long-time hiking enthusiast, I would appreciate if you could include a section of wilderness education “leave no trace” guidelines on your site. (Preferably a box on the home page.). Not everyone new to the area understands that you should not pick wildflowers or litter. I have seen these things happen with my own eyes. As some of the best wildflower locations (such as Memaloose Hills) are not even officially-maintained trails, the added wear on the unmaintained use trails makes it even worse. I am all in favor of more people getting out and appreciating the wildflowers. It’s an opportunity for nature education. We will all be the better for it! Thanks, (BTW the email link on your contact page doesn’t work, which is why I am writing this here.) |
