Nice idea to have this website, but as a long-time hiking enthusiast, I would appreciate if you could include a section of wilderness education “leave no trace” guidelines on your site. (Preferably a box on the home page.). Not everyone new to the area understands that you should not pick wildflowers or litter. I have seen these things happen with my own eyes.
As some of the best wildflower locations (such as Memaloose Hills) are not even officially-maintained trails, the added wear on the unmaintained use trails makes it even worse.
I am all in favor of more people getting out and appreciating the wildflowers. It’s an opportunity for nature education. We will all be the better for it!
