CommentsBlooming in the forest: Hooker`s Fairybells (Disporum hookeri), Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus), Fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), Candy Flower (Claytonia sibirica), Pacific Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa), Western Meadowrue (Thalictrum occidentale), False Solomon`s Seal, (Maianthemum racemosum), Pacific Starflower (Trientalis borealis ssp. latifolia), Piggy-Back Plant (Tolmiea menziesii), Scouler`s Valerian (Valeriana scouleri), Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), Miner`s Lettuce (Claytonia perfoliata ssp. perfoliata), Small-Flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), and tiny Chickweed Monkeyflower (Mimulus alsinoides) in wet areas.

Blooming on the cliffs: Sitka Mist Maidens (Romanzoffia sitchensis), Rockslide Larkspur (Delphinium glareosum), Field Chickweed (Cerastium arvense), Martindale`s Desert Parsley (Lomatium martindalei), Gorge Fleabane (Erigon oreganus), White Shooting Star (Dodecatheon dentatum), Cliff Paintbrush (Castilleja rupicola), Rusty Saxifrage (Saxifraga ferruginea), Merten`s Saxifrage (Saxifraga mertensiana), with Broad-leaf Stonecrop (Sedum spathulifolium) just starting. Look up to see the Cliff Penstemon (Penstemon rupicola), joined by more Cliff Paintbrush and others.

Near the end of the cliff-side section of trail, the endemic Columbia Kittentails (Synthyris missurica ssp. stellata) are nearly finished for the season.

Blooming along the trail to Upper McCord Creek Falls are: more Fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), Candy Flower (Claytonia sibirica), Pacific Bleeding Heart (Dicentra formosa), and Western Meadowrue (Thalictrum occidentale). Beyond the waterfall, near the end of the trail, are Western Corydalis (Corydalis scouleri).
