Blooming now: <B>lots</B> of Panicled Death-Camas <I>(Zigadenus paniculatus)</I>, Small-flowered Lupine <I>(Lupinus micranthus)</I>, Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary <I>(Collinsia parviflora)</I>, Bicolored Cluster Lily <I>(Brodiaea howellii)</I>, Small-flowered Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma parviflorum)</I>, Smooth Prairie Star <I>(Lithophragma glabra)</I>, Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis)</I>, Upland Larkspur <I>(Delphinium nuttallianum)</I>, Poet's Shooting Star <I>(Dodecatheon poeticum)</I>, Pungent Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium grayi)</I>, Piper's Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium piperi)</I>, Bare-stem Desert Parsley <I>(Lomatium nudicaule)</I>, Miner's Lettuce <I>(Claytonia perfoliata)</I>, Rigid Fiddleneck <I>(Amsinckia retrorsa)</I>, Ball-Head Waterleaf <I>(Hydrophyllum capitatum</I> var. <I>thompsonii)</I>, Columbia Gorge Lupine <I>(Lupinus latifolius </I>var.<I> thompsonianus)</I>, Slender Popcorn Flower <I>(Plagiobothrys tenellus)</I>, Midget Phlox <I>(Phlox gracilis)</I>, and Big Root <I>(Marah oreganus)</I>. One patch of Woolly-pod Milk-vetch <I>(Astragalus purshii </I>var.<I> glareosus)</I> seen blooming along the highest section of the trail. One patch of Great Hound's Tongue <I>(Cynoglossum grande)</I> blooming in the woods near the parking area. Some patches of Grass Widows <I>(Olsynium douglasii)</I> and Glacier Liles <I>(Erythronium grandiflorum)</I> still blooming at higher elevations, though well past peak. <P> <font color="red">WARNING</font>: copious Poison Oak <I>(Toxicodendron diversilobum)</I> along the trail, particularly in the wooded area... watch your step!
