<B>Trail of Ten Falls:</B> Lots more in bloom after last report (04/17/2008) despite cold spell (some snow on about 04/19/2008). Stream violet (<I>Viola glabella</I>), western trillium (<I>Trillium ovatum</I>), salmonberry (<I>Rubus spectabilis</I>), Oregon fawn lily (<I>Erythronium oreganum</I>), evergreen violet (<I>Viola sempervirens</I>), Scouler’s corydalis (<I>Corydalis scouleri</I>), large-flowered blue-eyed mary (<I>Collinsia grandiflora</I>), Sitka mistmaiden (<I>Romanzoffia sitchensis</I>), chickweed monkeyflower (<I>Mimulus alsinoides</I>), heartleaf twayblade (<I>Listera cordata</I>) are in bloom with redwood sorrel (<I>Oxalis oregana</I>) & Pacific bleeding heart (<I>Dicentra formosa</I>) not far behind. Some redwool saxifrage (<I>Saxifraga aequidentata</I>) & Hall’s lomatium (<I>Lomatium hallii</I>) in bloom. Indian-plum (<I>Oemleria cerasiformis</I>) just about done flowering. Slender toothwort (<I>Cardamine nuttallii</I>), skunk cabbage (<I>Lysichiton americanus</I>), & spring queen (<I>Synthyris reniformis</I>) not far behind. Areas that are higher in elevation & shaded (i.e. Upper North Falls) are beginning to bloom.
