Lots of Western trillium <I>(Trillium ovatum)</I> blooming in time for next weekend's <A href="http://www.tryonfriends.org/events/Trillium%20Festival/Trillium%20Festival.html" target="_blank">Trillium Festival</a>, though most of them look somewhat shell-shocked by the recent return of winter. Also blooming are: oaks toothwort <I>(Cardamine pulcherrima)</I>, wood violets <I>(Viola glabella)</I>, and salmonberry <I>(Rubus spectabilis)</I>. Pacific waterleaf <I>(Hydrophyllum tenuipes)</I> leaves are ubiquitous, but no blooms yet.
