CommentsGrass widows (Sisyrinchium douglasii) are at their peak everywhere! Also blooming are Salt-and-pepper (Lomatium piperi) and Western Saxifrage (Saxifraga occidentalis). Pungent Desert Parsley (Lomatium grayi) and Columbia Desert Parsley (Lomatium columbianum) are starting to bloom. There was one patch of Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis var. occidentalis) along the lower paved loop, as well as at higher elevations along the northwest trail. Also blooming at higher elevations on the northwest trail are Gold Stars (Crocidium multicaule), Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), and Small-flowered Prairie Star (Lithophragma parviflorum).
